Studio Headshots | Castle Rock, CO

business headshots, senior Portraits and modeling portfolios

I love doing studio sessions or even a portion of studio during a bigger session. There is something to be said about being able to control the light, the wind (or lack of) and of course rain or just cold weather here in Colorado!

Studio sessions can be fun, lighthearted and silly. They can showcase an interest or talent. Or they can be used for a traditional business headshot.

In the above images, you can see the colors sky blue and thunder gray. Currently, I am loving the sky blue. It contrasts beautifully with the emerald green and bright magenta dresses, but it also looks great with a tee shirt and jeans! The thunder gray is probably one of the most versatile backgrounds. Yes, the business headshot and the baseball shot are both thunder gray! For a more dramatic look, I used off camera flash to highlight the subject in the baseball image and then worked in photoshop until I had darkened the background almost completely blacked out.

I’ve just recently purchased a new color and I can’t wait to use it! If you are interested in a studio mini or would like to do a portion of your session in studio, you know I would love to have an excuse to use it! If you want a quick peek at the new color, you can check it out at here! Clearly, I love blue! If you could choose a new color of seamless paper for me to buy, which color would you like to see? I’d love to hear from you!
